Over 40 year resident of this area, Jan has the knowledge and experience to help you in your real estate transaction. Jan obtained her first Nevada real estate license in 1979 in Lake Tahoe when the interest rates were hovering around 18%. The challenges faced then and experience gained helps in the new and unique challenges that we are dealing with in today's market. Jan's background is in construction building both residential and commercial properties in Lake Tahoe and the Carson Valley. As a "hands on" builder working with her husband in the construction industry, Jan knows the details of what goes into a home and can help buyers identify quality construction. Starting in 1981 in the Gardnerville Ranchos, Jan and her husband built some of the first homes and duplexes in the Gardnerville Ranchos Phase 6 and continued to build in the areas of Foothill, East Valley, Minden, Johnson Lane, and Chambers Field. Jan watched the Carson Valley grow into the community it is today with all the beauty and opportunity that this valley has to offer.

Rita & her husband have resided in the Carson Valley, which to them is “A little slice of heaven,” since September 1994.  She enjoyed a successful career in banking management in PA and CA where in 1986 she then obtained her California Real Estate license; becoming a Nevada Realtor in 1995.  Rita’s personal knowledge of relocation has been a plus in assisting Buyers & Sellers in one of life’s great accomplishments and challenges -  Retirement  in a new community.  She believes that enjoying one’s profession, continuing real estate education and staying on top of real estate issues are important steps in preparing for the process of negotiating a home purchase or sale that turns out to be a win-win situation for both Buyers and Sellers.  Rita calls that success!

I really like all that this area has to offer, and it should since I have spent all but 3 years of my life here.  I moved to Lake Tahoe from Juneau Alaska at the ripe old age of 1.  After High School the opportunity to tutor under a chef came about and off to Connecticut  I went.  It was a great experience, but the West coast was calling my name.  Not wanting to move right back to Tahoe, I went to San Francisco and worked on the Pacific Stock Exchange.  The call of the mountains was too strong and I came back to Tahoe.  Twelve years ago I bought a home here in the Carson Valley, and I really like the proximity of the mountains and surrounding areas.  I have just recently joined the team of Jan (my mom), and Rita and believe with our combined experience we can offer you great service and knowledge regarding real estate in the Carson Valley.
